Bring a dish to share!
It’s an unfortunate reality that A.A. members are sometimes subjected to negative behaviors, such as unwanted sexual advances or bullying, by others in the program. These behaviors can make us feel unsafe in the rooms and even affect our sobriety. This is an opportunity to hear how others have learned from these kinds of experiences and used the program to grow in their emotional sobriety. We will explore together how we can ensure that our meetings and groups are ful lling our primary purpose — to carry the message to alcoholics who still suffer.
What to Expect
After sharing a meal together, we’ll begin the conversation by listening to a panel of local and regional A.A. members, who will share their experience, strength, and hope with us. The panel will then address your specific questions (from an Ask-It Basket). If we have time, we will open the meeting up for more questions or sharing from the oor.
