Ideas Needed: Theme, Presentation and Workshop Topics for the 2013 General Service Conference
The theme, presentation and workshop topics for each General Service Conference are discussed by Delegates during the week of the Conference. These topics revolve around basic principles of A.A. and can spark thought-provoking discussion at Area and District meetings as well. The theme selected for next year’s Conference is: Anonymity: Our Spiritual Responsibility in the Digital Age. Two general categories were chosen for presentations: 1) Carrying the A.A. Message, and 2) Change – Essential to A.A.’s Growth. The workshop topic will be: Safety in A.A.: Our Common Welfare.
Regions, Areas and Districts are encouraged to incorporate discussion of these topics into workshops, meetings, pre-Conference Assemblies, etc. This gives A.A. members involved in service the opportunity to more fully participate in the Conference process and become more informed about A.A. In addition, all members are encouraged to submit ideas for the 2013 Conference theme, presentations and workshop. The deadline for submission is December 1, 2011. You can use the form provided for submission of your ideas, or you can simply write or email the address at the bottom of the form.

GSR Schools are periodically made available that focus not only on the role of the General Service Representative, but give a useful overview of the entire A.A. service structure in the United States and Canada. Oregon Area districts are customarily aided by the Alternate Delegate in hosting these workshops.
